He says it could be the carousel of schools he’s attended throughout his high school career that’s somewhat to blame.
“Not currently anything, nothing yet sir,” said Webb.
“I do really want to play in college, and I do feel overlooked because I’ve transferred to a lot of schools throughout my career. I haven’t really been able to stay at one school.”
Webb is currently playing his second season at Christian Life. He was at Madison Prep his freshman season.
Webb spent his sophomore season at Redemptorist, and then it closed down.
“I’m just going to keep playing to the best of my ability, keep doing what I do to win and just keep playing better and being the vocal leader I need to be,” said Webb. “And hopefully I can get into the spotlight with college coaches, and keep working myself up there.”
With nice length and good size, Webb prides himself on being disruptive defensively.
“I’m a big presence on the floor, my wingspan helps a lot with rebounding, blocks and steals defensive wise,” he said. “And I have the ability to shoot over players; I’m more of an outside threat than an inside threat. I shoot the ball real well, free throw percentage, 3 -point percentage and field goal percentage.”
As he continues on with his senior season at Christian Life, Webb says his main objective is to be the leader of the team.
“This year and last year I’ve been the captain. So they expect me to provide vocal leadership, and the ability to know every position and what everybody needs to be doing when they’re on the floor,” Webb said.
“We started off pretty slow this year, but we’ve picked it up after a losing streak. We’re better than we were.”
