He has a scorer’s mentality seeking his shot. Hines has a good looking stroke from three and is capable of knocking them down. At times forces some jumpers. He is best when attacking off the bounce where he has an explosive first step and finishes with body control. Sweet euro step in the open floor. Potential on the defensive end at the next level with his tenacity and quickness. Hines is a volume scorer that struggles with turnovers at times. Low-major prospect.
How is the season going?
“I am playing well. Not as well as my expectations, but overall well.”
Hines spoke about what he brings to the table as a player.
“It is tough to describe me. I am a tough on ball defender. I get to the lane. I can kick it out. I’m lengthy on defense.”
He updated us on his recruiting.
“I recently picked up an offer from Northern Arizona. I have three offers including Chicago State and Winthrop.”
Several other schools have shown interest.
“Baylor, Tulsa, Toledo, UW-Milwaukee have called.”
