Will Proctor- The 6’2 senior guard for Chesnee got his own in his team’s loss. He recorded 13 points 2 assists and a block. He showed the ability to penetrate inside and draw contact, and get to the charity stripe to convert his free throws. 4. Devin Smith– Summerville’s 5’10 guard controlled, and dictated the pace with ease in his squad’s meeting with Chesnee high. He dished out 7 assists and also pitched in 4 points. Smith uses his blazing speed and quickness to control the pace of the game which, the majority of the time was a very up tempo one. Summerville’s offense flourishes in up tempo games as they’re loaded with quick athletes. 3. Dominique Perry– The 6’1 guard from Brookland-Cayce was awarded the lowe’s player of the game for his balanced production in their game against Union Co. He dropped 15 points handed out 3 assists and was a pest on defense for the whole game on route to taking the ball away 4 times. These led to easy buckets for him in transition. Perry is a fast, long and disciplined defender. The junior guard excels when playing along side his teammate Lloyd Hemming. 2. Shaquan Davis– The 6’5 junior out of Summerville had another monster game against the hometown eagles of Chesnee today. He put up 17 points, secured double-digit rebounds, denied 3 blocks and also had two fancy assists in transition. Shaq Davis wreaks havoc on opposing defenses no matter what defensive looks he sees. Davis can even step out and shoot the occasional 15+ foot jumper with a silky smooth form. This Junior forward is a 24/7 highlight reel in transition and in the half court offense. 1. Jonathan Bennett– The 6’0 sophomore Guard out of Summerville propelled his team to a victory against Chesnee. He was a menace from outside as he connected on 3 deep balls that helped him pour in 21 points and showed the ability to get inside and finish while dishing two assists. The young sophomore doesn’t show the usual under class men mental mistakes, he seems to understand their offense and defense well and is a prospect with great potential.
