SF Terrence Hargrove (East St. Louis)
Hargrove only scored a handful of points, but once again he was the guy that pops off the floor for East St. Louis. The sophomore small forward stands at 6’5” with a long and athletic frame. He is a beast on the boards! Hargrove uses his nonstop energy and athleticism to beat out bigger opponents for rebounds. Plus offensive rebounder. Active on ball defender on the perimeter contesting shots and moving laterally. Offensively his best move was a blow by where he did a stutter step before getting past his man. D1 prospect that mid-majors need to start monitoring.
PG Markese Jacobs (Uplift – Kansas)
The Kansas commit showed flashes of his immense ability, but also had his struggles too. He was a bit loose with the ball early in the game and suffered some turnovers because of it. Jacobs got to the rim at will, but had trouble finishing through contact. He hit some jumpers including a mid-range one and a pair of threes. Looked good in transition pushing it with his tremendous speed and power with the ball in his hands. Jacobs had 17 points on 6-17 shooting.
SG Mohammed Alausa (Chicago U-High)
Alausa is the younger brother of Yale commit Jameel. This U-High sophomore is a wing that has strength and athleticism. He is a tough on ball defender that has a chance to be a very good defender at the next level. Rebounds well for his position. Offensively he had a couple strong drives. Alausa had 7 points and 5 rebounds. Potential D1 prospect.
PG Kejuan Clements (Simeon)
Clements is a point guard that took on more of the ball handling duties in this contest for the Wolverines. Made several crisp passes setting up his teammates. The athletic point guard has speed in the open floor. Rebounds well for his position. Clements has D1 ability. Finished with 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists.
PG Antonio Reeves (Kenwood)
Reeves is a long and lanky point guard that can really shoot it. He hit 1-2 from beyond the arc. His three came with some nifty footwork and a quick release on a dribble hand off. Also got loose for a transition layup. Reeves plays limited minutes and doesn’t have a feature role yet, but is one to watch long term. He had 7 points.
PG Damari Nixon (Fenwick)
The 6’1” combo guard put himself on our radar at the Chicago Elite Classic. Slick handling lefty that excels in the open floor. Fills the lane as a wing finisher. Slippery with the ball in his hands and can use a euro step. Nixon had 10 points.
