What are some strengths you have in your game that make you the player that you are?
“My biggest strength is being able to shoot as a big man. A lot of teams have a hard time guarding me outside. I’m also able to pass the ball and rebound pretty well.”
What are some of your weaknesses that you would like to work on?
“I would like to work on my ball handling so I can take big guys off the dribble. Also I need to become a better defender so I can stop bigger post players.”
Who is the toughest player you can recall playing against in Utah basketball and why?
“I would say Ryan Pollard from Bountiful. He’s 6’11 and very hard to keep out of the middle. It’s not a defensive matchup that I look forward too.”
What team on your schedule do you want to beat the most and why?
“I would say bountiful because they’re our biggest rival. The games are always intense and there are huge crowds. I would also say Highland because my dad used to coach there and I know a lot of the kids that play for Highland.”
What team that isn’t on your schedule in Utah would you most like to play and why?
“I want the chance at playing Bingham. They are the best team in most people’s eyes and I think we can beat them.”
How do you see your team doing this year?
“Our first goal is winning the Region 5 title. Our bigger goal is winning the state championship. This group of seniors have been talking about winning the state championship since third grade.”
Who is you Favorite NBA player and why?
“My favorite player is Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks. He’s such a good all around player that can put up a triple double almost every night. He’s a fun player to watch.”
What is your favorite moment during your basketball career?
“So far in my career I would say playing Desert Hills High School in the Dixie State Summer Camp. I made 9 three pointers and we won the game.”
Who has the best home crowd in the state other than your own?
“Bountiful has a huge crowd for our games and they are loud. That is a fun game to play in and I look forward to it every year.”
What do you want to major in for college?
“I think I want to major in business or to be an Architect.”
What do you want to do after High School?
“I’m planning on going on a LDS mission after high school. Once I get back I will consider playing college basketball if there is a good option for me.”
