What are some strengths you have in your game that make you the player that you are?
“I’m good at running the show for my team and getting people the ball in places where they can score. I’m also a knock down three point shooter and that is probably my best skill as a player.”
What are some of your weaknesses that you would like to work on?
“I need to get stronger by getting in the weight room. This will help me become a better finisher in the paint. As an undersized guard I need to be able to finish versus bigger defenders.”
Who is the toughest player you can recall playing against in Utah High School basketball?
“Zac Seljaas from Bountiful who currently plays for BYU. He’s a 6’7 guard who can shoot and drive. He was so hard to guard. I remember him being a player that everyone on my team would try to contain.”
What team on your schedule do you want to beat the most and why?
“I want to beat Woods Cross the most. They have gotten all of this hype and I think we can beat them.”
What team that isn’t on your schedule in Utah do you want to play the most and why?
“I would like to play Bingham or Lone Peak. They are two of the best basketball programs in the state and that would be a fun challenge.”
How do you see your team doing this year?
“When we share the ball we are a very good team. I think we can beat Woods Cross and win the Region title.”
Who is your favorite NBA player and why?
“I would say Chris Paul. He’s an undersized guard like myself and I look up to him as a player. I try to model my game after his. I like how crafty he is and how he is able to get his teammates the ball.”
What is your favorite moment in your high school career?
“Blowing out Highland at home last year was a fun game. Another great game was last week versus West. I made seven three’s in the first half. The was the best I’ve played so far this year.”
Who has the best home crowd in the state other than your own?
“When we play our rival Highland they have a great crowd. There fans dress up like zombies and our fans where a nice shirt and tie. It’s a great environment for a game.”
What do you want to major in for college?
I want tp major in business and I’m thinking of having my own business.
What is your plan for after high school?
“I want to play a year of college golf or basketball then leave on a LDS mission.”
