Village would go on to get the win after controlling the game for the majority of the night, showing everyone that the 2A champs are back to defend their crown. Listed below are the players who stood and will need to be on the list of college coaches and even some fans at multiple levels.
Jordan Ratliffe, 2017, Guard, Village Christian: The fans at VMI should definitely have a smile on their face, Jordan already signed his letter of intent and he showed Thursday that he is the real deal! He had a somewhat quiet 1st half but caught fire in the 2nd half, knocking down shots and finishing above the rim to finish with 21 points
Dakari Johnson, 2018, Guard, Village Christian: Dakari just picked up his first offer from Longwood recently and he showed Thursday that even more schools should be watching him closely. He has already has a college body as well as next level composure, his defense was outstanding and he knocked down shots at a very high percentage. Finished with 17 Points on the night
Nassyr Daniels, 2017, Forward, Village Christian: This young man was one of the most impressive on the night! He blocked shots, finished plays inside, communicated well with teammates, and brought an intensity that his team truly need. He may not be a player that will step right in and get double doubles in college but he has a very nice ceiling of potential, finished with 17 Points.
Audiese Toney, 2018, Guard, Northwood Temple: At 6’5 with long arms, his frame is something that catches your attention almost immediately, he didn’t have his best shooting night from outside but caught fire late. He recently picked up an offer from ECU and is a player to keep a close eye on as the season continues to go on.
Mike Hueitt Jr, 2017, Guard, Northwood Temple: Mike signed his NLI to ODU prior to the game and the fans at ODU should be excited about this young man coming in, he didn’t have his best shooting performance but still gave maximum effort throughout. He moves well without the ball and we fully expect to see him have some big time performances as the season goes on.
Josh Haymer. 2017, Guard, Village Christian: In my opinion Josh is one of the most underrated players around, why? Because the things he does simply does not show up in the stat book. He makes the correct play on a consistent basis and plays lock down D almost every single night, college coaches that need a smart PG should be giving Josh a call.
