No.68 Kyle Arrington
The 6-foot-10 center made the highest debut of anybody in this installment due to his sheer size and his fast-evolving recruitment. He’s picked up two NAIA offers in the past month (Grand View, Mount Mercy), and after only playing nine games during his junior season due to injury, he should be one of the most improved guys in the state this winter.
No.94 Augustine Saliu
With great height and amazing length, this 6-foot-8 Grand View Christian center could lead the state in blocks this season. He’s an exchange student from Africa, and will make an immediate impact in the paint for a team that was already one of the best in 1A.
No.100 Cade Longnecker
On a loaded Waukee squad it can be easy to get lost in the shuffle. But this highly skilled guard’s game was not lost on us while watching the Warriors at the Urbandale Team Camp this summer. Longnecker is a pure passer, with a very effective jumper and great speed. He’ll be key to the Warriors’ success this season.
No.153 Kaleb Haffner
Haeffner was a role player on one of the best teams in 1A the past two seasons. He was really able to showcase himself during our Top 250 Expo – a versatile and good-sized forward. Haeffner should generate some college interest this season.
No. 163 Joshua Werge
Some deeper digging into quikstats.com and we came to realize this 5’11 guard was outstanding last season a junior – well deserving of a spot in the top 217. Werge averaged 14.1 points, 3 assists, 2 steals and 6.5 rebounds per game last season for 3A Storm Lake.
No.199 Jared Sapp
Sapp was a bit under the radar due to his lack of production with ADM last season as a junior. But he played well enough this offseason to catch the eye of Minnesota D3 St. Mary’s, and anyone good enough to play college ball is good enough the crack the top 200.
No.216 Broden Coulter
What first grabbed our attention was his insane shooting percentage from beyond the arc last season (56.2% on 18-32). We then saw him in action at our Top 250 Expo earlier this far – a good-sized sharpshooter with a nice stroke from deep.
No.217 Andrew Seeman
Well, he produced very little last season as a junior at Spirit Lake, but we distinctly remember seeing him warm-up at the state tournament last spring….. because he’s a legit 7-footer. Any player who is that tall is a college prospect based on sheer size alone.
