A self-described shooting guard, Randolph is a well-built floor-general with great vision and plus passing ability who is coming off a great junior season with the Blue Devils.
Still, the offer-less 2017 was only able to mention just two schools that had reached out to him in any capacity.
“There are a few schools interested in me, I might end up going somewhere really small and then transferring later on. I’ve seen some stuff from (Wisconsin) Platteville, Luther and schools like that, they’ve been emailing me about coming to camps and taking visits,” said Randolph.
“Whatever level I go to I feel like I’ll be able to hang. And I’m just going to do whatever it takes to get a scholarship so I can go to school for free.”
After a very nice junior season with a surprisingly successful Davenport Central squad, Randolph is looking to up his production even more this season.
“I’ve been working more on taking it to the hole, instead of just relying on my jumper and being one-dimensional. I’m working on shooting at a higher percentage, and I can do that by getting to the hole more,” said Randolph, who averaged 13.2 points and 3 assists per game last season.
“I think I’ll have to score a little bit more this season, we lost one of our main scorers, Tim (Rummels). And I think I’ll have to step up and play more of a leader role this season.”
