There has been some college interest some his way, and he’s taken a couple visits. But he says he’s looking for something more official.
“It hasn’t been easy and I really don’t know much. There’s been a few schools, but I’m really still waiting to see what options are what,” said Storbeck.
“I’ve gotten interest anywhere from Buena Vista, Luther and Central. And I’ve gotten some emails from D2s, one being Arkansas Tech. I got a letter from Central Michigan last season.”
“It’s been all over the place, but nothing is set in stone.”
Storbeck — who recently visited Luther and Central — mentioned that he’s just going to play his game and let the rest take care of himself.
“The only thing I can do is play as hard as I can, and I think if I do that things will take care of themselves,” he said. “The only thing I can control is my effort.”
Aside from basketball, Storbeck also is a standout on the golf course, and he plays football too.
“I think golf is an option as well, and I played football too, but I don’t think I’m going to play college football,” he said. “But I have expressed some interest to some (college) coaches about golf.”
On the hardwood, Storbeck excels at scoring, and being a playmaker.
“I’d say my strengths are I can bring scoring to the table,” he said. “I feel comfortable shooting outside, and I’d say my biggest strength is playmaking and creating, even if something isn’t there.”
After averaging 19.6 points per game last season with the Lions, he says his role this season will be much the same.
“My role won’t be much different than last year. I need to improve my leadership, but I will continue to lead the team,” said Storbeck.
“I just want to make the biggest impact I can to help my team win, and give my best effort for my senior year.”
