Pendleton transferred in the middle of his junior year from Redwood Valley to Cedar Mountain/Comfrey where he played 11 games for the Cougars. He packed a full season’s worth of numbers into those 11 games, averaging 18 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.
At 6-foot-2, Pendleton can fill it up offensively in a variety of ways. He’s got solid shooting range and excels in the mid-range areas of the floor. He also sees the floor exceptionally well. He’s not a primary point guard but he provides value as a secondary ball handler and shot creator.
“We’re underrated right now,” Pendleton said of CM/C. “We’ve got a couple new players that are coming. We should have a good team though. Dylan Hillesheim and Eli Samuelson, two starters from last year.”
Pendleton’s said the University of Jamestown and United Tribes in Bismarck have been the two schools in contact with him the most. He said he’s hoping to draw some more interest in the upcoming basketball season and he’ll likely make his college decision after the season.
Pendleton thinks the Cougars could be successful this year. That team success could certainly help his cause when it comes to gaining some more exposure.
“That’s what I’m hoping for,” said Pendleton. “I think we have a strong chance at going to state. I think that would help me a lot.”
