“Rhys is a player who has gotten better every year and has figured out what it takes to be a leader,” said St. Anthony Coach Chris Hergenrader.
“His teammates look up to him and Rhys has done more and more to set positive examples and be a good teammate to the younger guys on our team. He has improved our young post players by pushing them in practice.”
Langums scored a dozen points per game a year ago and improved greatly by playing with the D1 Minnesota Prospects from April to July.
“Rhys has gotten a lot stronger and played with much more confidence over the summer,” Coach Hergenrader.
“I attribute much of this to his time in the D1 grassroots program. We expect him to be a strong leader for our program this season and a person who sets the tone for us on the defensive end.”
Langums has a ways to go before he decides on a school but several have called his coach.
“He has been hearing from MIAC programs and some DII schools in the upper Midwest.”
