Lincoln Charter is returning 4 starters and 8 of top 10 guys back from 29-4 season in which they won conference, conference tournament, Sectionals, and made a Regional Final appearance. All of the success has came from a young team with the core of their roster filled by juniors and sophomores. 2019 guard LaVonte Knox will be a key factor in how far the Eagles advance this season.

He is quick in transition and has the ability to get by defenders and distribute the basketball to his teammates. He averaged nearly 10 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists this past season for the Eagles. His head coach at Lincoln Charter, Brad Gabriel had this to say about his stud sophomore “He is very athletic and strong player who has worked hard over the summer. Had a really strong summer and gained a lot of exposure. Looking for him to have a huge breakout season.”
Knox is ranked # 27 in the 2019 PrepHoopsNC rankings and should see a rise in his ranking when they are updated mid-way through the season. He scored 16 points against perennial power Winston-Salem Prep in the 1-A regional championship.
