He possesses a knack for being the leader on the floor and is very vocal on the court. He was named to the Mid- Piedmont 2015-2016 All Conference team this past season while helping lead them to a 13-14 mark overall. PrepHoopsNC caught up with Demetrius to discuss his upcoming senior season.
PrepHoopsNC: Who all have you heard from recently and who has offered up until now?
Demetrius Butler: I currently have no offers but I have heard from Methodist, NC Weselyn, and William Peace.
PrepHoopsNC: What are your goals for the summer and next season at your high school?
Demetrius Butler: Goals for my high school are to win regular season conference, conference tournament, and make a good run in states.
PrepHoopsNC: What are you looking at in a school when you make that decision?
Demetrius Butler: When making my decision I will look at which school best fits me for basketball and life after basketball.
PrepHoopsNC: What are the most important parts of your game and can you explain your game to me?
Demetrius Butler: My game is a fast paste game I like to get up and down on the offensive and defensive end of the court. I play better with the ball in my hands whether thats finding a shot for myself or my teammates.
PrepHoopsNC: What are some things do you feel you need to work on?
Demetrius Butler: Something I need to work on is my off ball offense I tend to get stuck in one spot. On defense I need to crash the boards more often.
