The four-sport star is a shoo-in for this nomination. He’s been wrecking-shop in the conference since his freshman year, and we should see his best season this winter. He mentioned to PHIA in a recent interview that his goal is to lead Lone Tree to an undefeated record at home.
First Team
2017 Jovonte Squiers, 6’1 PG, Lone Tree (16.2 PPG, 52 FG%, 39 3FG%, 7.9 APG, 4.0 APG)
Easily the most dominant player in the conference, and an all-state caliber player for the Lions.
2017 Niko Gosnell, 6’7 PF, Lone Tree (11.2 PPG, 52 FG%, 6.3 RPG, 1.9 BPG)
After a nice summer showcasing himself with the Iowa Mavericks, Gosnell looks prepped to become a star this winter.
2017 Trent Lasek, 5’11 PG,Highland, Riverside (12.6 PPG, 5.6 APG, 2.6 SPG, 4.6 RPG)
One of several Lasek’s who will be impact players for the Huskies, Trent will be the primary distributor, and will score in bunches too.
2017 Nick Yutzy, 6′ PG, Iowa Mennonite (10.4 PPG, 4.6 APG)
He’ll be the main man at Iowa Mennonite this season, and will look to pick up where star point guard Eli Gingerich left off.
2018 Trenton Massner, G, Wapello (13.7 PPG, 42 3FG%, 82 FT%, 3.5 APG)
Perhaps the best shooter in the conference, Massner made more 3s than anyone in the conference as a sophomore last season, at a high clip too.

2018 Bryce Robinson, 6’4 F, Winfield-Mt.Union
2017 Tristan Timmerman, 6’2 G, Mediapolis
