2017
Ashken Stahmm– 6’4 Archbishop Rummel- Ashken has put together a rather impressive summer, playing with the New Orleans Wolves. He fits perfectly in his role as a do-it-all forward. He is capable of spacing the floor, driving to the basket, as well as defending the other teams best player.
Galen Smith Jr.– 6’6 Bay High School (MS)- Smith Jr., along with his younger brother, were the two best big prospects in the building. The older brother, who is a good two inches shorter than his younger brother, played much more like a forward, and had the ability to step out and knock down the open 18 footer. He also had the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim pretty easily.
Najja Engleton– 6’2 David Thibodaux- Engleton is one of three players from David Thibodaux that really impressed spectators as well as college coaches in the building. Engleton was very impressive getting to the goal, and finishing through contact, a skill that he has definitely acquired over the past year. He shot the ball well from deep, and had one of the most impressive dunks of the day, getting to the goal in the half court and throwing down a pretty thunderous dunk.
Tyree Bruno– 6’3 David Thibodaux- Bruno is a do-it-all forward that coaches were raving about. Whether he was asked to post up smaller defenders or drive around bigger ones, he was capable of doing it. His outside shot has come a long way, and is now very comfortable shooting from 15-20 feet. Has the bounce to dunk pretty comfortably

Elon Mcgee– 6’2 East Jefferson- Mcgee is a long, combo guard, with very tight handles. He was able to weave in and out of traffic, and kept the ball on a string. He has a very pretty shot, and showed he was more than capable of hitting some deep pull-ups. Once he got out in transition, he was able to show off his athleticism, and had one of the biggest blocks of the day.
Jamiree Williams– 6’1 Central Lafourche- Williams was clearly the best athlete in the building, throwing down some big dunks and causing some major blocks while in transition. Even though he was at his best in transition, he was able to slow himself down in the half court, and played his best off ball, knocking down big 3’s when his team needed it.
Galen Smith III– 6’8 Bay High School (MS)- Smith III was the biggest and best post prospect in the building. He looked very comfortable around the rim, and was able to bully “smaller” 6’5-6’6 players guarding him, and has the length to just finish over them. But he didn’t seem to rely solely on being bigger than others, and had a wide array post moves, and a pretty smooth dream shake. At his size, he clearly has the ability to protect the rim, and that combination showed to be deadly, as his team won every game they competed in.
Travonte’ Sam– 6’6 David Thibodaux- Sam is a long, athletic forward, that plays the best with the ball in his hands, setting up shots for others. He has the ability to play as a lead guard at the next level, and if he keeps his turnovers low, is a force to be reckoned with in the pick and roll. With his length and athleticism, he is capable of sending any shots taken in the paint, back into the stands. He is the final member of the three headed dragon that David Thibodaux will bring to the court this year, which will be looking to make a run in a very competitive private school 2A playoffs this year.
