Durham Academy is coached by Tim McKenna. He has been at the school since 2007. He was selected this past season as an assistant coach for the NCISAA All-Star Game held at Providence Day in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a graduate of Providence College in Rhode Island.
Former Durham Academy alum Evan Fjeld, was a McDonald’s All-American nominee who graduated from the University of Vermont and has played professionally in the NBA D-League as well as in Malta and Switzerland. Another alumni is Jordan Lawson who played collegiality at Delaware State University.

The team is coming off an 18-10 season and a trip to the NCISAA 3A State Tournament. 7 players return from that team including leading scorer, Jorden Davis and second leading rebounder, Nick Beischer. The team is deep in the back court and will rely on tenuous defense and strong shooting to build upon recent years success. Over the past four seasons, the program has gone an impressive 58-29 while competing against some of the best teams in the State. That challenging schedule will continue this season as Durham Academy takes on some of the best public and private schools in the State.
