That feeling will be only be heightened tomorrow! Beginning at 10am, the Prep Hoops Ohio Top 250 Expo tips off at Pickerington North High School. It’s the #1 opportunity this fall for Ohio hoopers to showcase their skills in front of Prep Hoops staff and at least 11 college programs.
There will be over 170 players in attendance, representing every corner of the state. Prospects can expect to be put through a comprehensive regiment of skill-work from our premier coaching staff. Following, players will be divided into teams for 5-on-5 action.
The class of 2018 is widely regarded as the best in the state. It’s only fitting that some of the best players at tomorrow’s showcase will be juniors. Let’s take a position-by-position look at some of the players.
Point Guards
Kort Justice not only has the best basketball name in Ohio, he takes control of the hardwood. Justice directs traffic with the ball in his hand and fearlessly attacks the rim. Justice could draw D-II offers during the next season.
Ethan Stanislawski is potentially the starting point guard on one of the best high school teams in the state, Massillon Jackson. Stanislawski plays with an impressive confidence, and is slippery with his moves. Good spot-up shooter.
Shooting Guards
Keshawn Underwood, a 6’3” prospect from Zanesville, was third team All-State last season. Could foresee the athletic scorer settling in at the D-II level when it’s said and done.
Trevor Grady is a 6’5” kid from Dublin Coffman with an excellent spot-up jumper. Grady may surprise some people with his versatility as well. He’s got a very solid frame and isn’t afraid to put a smaller guard on his back for the inside score.
Small Forwards
Dishon Daniels will definitely frustrate whoever he defends tomorrow. The 53rd ranked junior is an athletic defensive-minded prospect. Offensive development will likely determine what level of college ball he plays.
Juan Elmore is tough to matchup with. Elmore was once considered a power forward, and he still might be. However, this summer with KJOV, he looked comfortable consistently attacking from the perimeter. Wondering where Elmore will do his scoring from tomorrow.
Power Forwards/Centers
Thomas Arrington is going to be a joy to play with — he brings the energy, prides himself on opening shooting opportunities for teammates, and hustles on defense. Arrington drew high praise for his efforts with Ohio Unity this summer. Excited to catch him in game situations tomorrow against premier competition.
Luke Nedrow is coming in from Pittsburgh Central Catholic tomorrow. The 6’7” prospect has impressive shooting abilities for how physical he is. Solid D-II/D-III prospect with great touch around the basket.
