If you haven’t heard of Jimmie Sanders III by now I would honestly be pretty surprised, the young man has been on the radar for college coaches and media for years now and continues to only get better. What has he done? Well in the past few years he’s led his team deep into the 1A State playoffs, scored over 1,000 career Points at the beginning of his sophomore year, and countless amount of assist, steals, forced TO’s etc. But now the time has come for Jimmie to take a new step as he has transferred to Wayne Country Day, not only should his recruitment get more intense but also his ranking within the state as he should be talked about among the many gifted 2018 guards. We all know basketball is just a small part of the grand scheme of things and that is something I truly respect and admire about Jimmie. He’s a young man who is very respectful and an outstanding student, academically he has performed well enough to the point that Ivy League schools have shown interest.
What will Wayne Country Day being getting in Jimmie Sanders III?
First of all they will be getting a PG that can do it all, he is a very gifted scorer and passer that knows how to run the team and get everyone involved while still producing his own offense. He plays with a high motor and intensity, not backing down from any challenge that he may face, for shorter players you always love to see them play with a chip on their shoulder and Jimmie definitely does that. On the defensive end he will be the type of player that opposition will hate to go up against, he’s constantly applying pressure, getting into passing lanes and causing all types of havoc at the end of the floor. This offseason he has been in the lab, getting stronger and more explosive so I am truly excited to see him perform this upcoming season.
