They played in the NYBL where they finished with 3 losses (2 to the West Coast All Stars), but were the 2nd best team there.
The Carolina Wolves 2021 team also played in the North Carolina AAU states, and won. They played in AAU Nationals, and came in 6th place in the country (missing their big man that was ranked #3 in the country for 2021). They competed in a couple of live period events in North Carolina including CP3 Live as the NC Zoom. They played up and won all but 2 games, as they barely lost to CP3 14u and Team Heat Elite 14u. They then they took their team to The League Finals and placed in the top 4, but were severely undermanned (missing 3 of our bigs).
Top players were Guard Bobby Pettiford Jr, who is 5’10 and goes to Butner-Stem Middle School. , Guard Jarius Northam is 5’7 and goes to Lucas Middle School. , Forward Chris Ford is 6-foot-3 and goes to Piedmont Open Middle School, and Forward Jamylan Blakeney is 6-foot-5 and goes to East Union Middle School. Jaden Bradley is 6’0 and goes to Winkler Middle School. He is one of the top players in the 2022 class.
The Wolves went and played a very tough schedule against the best teams in their age group and the age group up and proved they can compete against any of them. This young group of talented basketball players will be players that you will continue to hear about over the next few years and will make an impact on their high school teams in the near future.
