He already has the physique of a college player and displayed a talent level that was superior of a good amount of the other players that were in attendance. James was very impressive with his ability to score the ball but also got his teammates involved often and in good spots so that they could score easily. He has outstanding court vision and plays the game at his own pace, regardless of who was guarding him he got where he wanted for the most part. On the defensive end he was very active, he has good lateral quickness and quick hands which caused problems for opponents throughout camp. There is no doubt that he can be a high impact player on the D2 level as a freshman and should pick up a few D2 offers before it’s all said and done.
West Bladen 6’7 Forward/Center John Bowen: John is a very intriguing prospect, even though he hasn’t filled out his slender frame yet, there were times throughout camp that he would make a play that showed how good he can be. He was very active on the boards on both ends of the floor, offensively he had multiple plays that included put back dunks and offensive rebounds to provide extra possessions for his team, also he showed the ability to step out and knock down shots from midrange. On the defensive end was where I was probably impressed with him the most, he defended the screen and roll very well and came up with a high amount of contested and blocked shots. At this point I see him as a solid D2 prospect but with some more muscle added to his frame and consistent aggressiveness he could possibly slide in the Low D1 prospect range
