“Right now West Point (Army), Navy, Truman State, and the University of Chicago are showing the most interest,” Tyler told PHD. “I’m taking an official visit to Navy on the weekend of September 2-4 and to West Point the following weekend.”
Tyler was the face-up four man (also very good off the ball moving, and good with back to the basket) that had consistent numbers this summer for the Warriors who went 44-11.
“Some of my favorite experiences come from beating top teams, like Dream Vision this year, and playing with the same team and players for six years and creating such a bond on and off the court with them,” Tyler told Northstar Hoops Report.
“Playing AAU has made me a better player because I’m going up against top competition every week in practice and in games.”
Tyler and Warrior teammates Jack Tillotson and Joe Hird are the top three players from last year’s Bloomington Jefferson Jaguar team that went 17-9 last year led by Tyler’s 14 plus points per game. The Jags are a threat to win 20 games even though there hasn’t been much hype for them.
Tyler is practicing for the year right now and then will join up with teammates this fall.
“I’ll prepare on my own by lifting and getting as many shots up as possible,” Tyler said. “We’ll also have lifting as a team and fall games and captain’s practices starting soon to help us prepare.”
