So what’s left for an encore his senior year? Wins. And more of them. McClain is currently in the middle of getting ready for his football season but he’s always focused on hoops too.
“I plan too have some early morning workout sessions with my team and some after practice sessions as well with weight lifting, shooting, and dribbling drills,” said McClain about how he plans to keep hoops in his plans this fall.
This past spring and summer with Comets K we saw McClain handle the basketball some, we saw some highlight dunks that left coaches speechless and others flocking to the gym, and we saw a raw prospect that could be a fantastic player in the future when his game matures with college coaching.
Valley City State had him on campus last weekend and offered him a scholarship. Let’s keep this very simple, it’s a brilliant move. He would be a steal of a prospect for them.
“Valley City State and UW-Eau Claire are showing the most interest at the moment,” said McClain.
“I visited Valley City last Friday and I will be visiting UW-Eau Claire sometime in the following weeks.”
Comets K put McClain on the map on a wider scale and the Red Lake guard/wing/forward was happy to play all over the court for the team.
“My top experiences with the Comets had to be developing more as a wing and post player,” said McClain. “The way I had to play those positions on the court and when to play them helped me a lot.”
Watch McClain close going forward. This guy has big time explosive ability at 6-foot-4/6-foot-5 with great length, experience as a winner playing all over the court at Red Lake, and he has full scholarship potential.
