The 6-foot-6 self-described guard likes playing a fast-tempo, and it’s his size paired with his ability to handle the ball that make him such a unique player.
Kramer went into detail about his first offer, and explained to PHI that academics are more important to him than hoops.
“I went to Southwest Minnesota State’s elite camp last year, and then went to it again last week, and they offered me right after the camp. They said they like my style of play, and that I’m a good person off the court,” said Kramer.
“Other schools that I’ve been talking to are Sioux Falls and Wayne State, I went to both of their elite camps.”
Kramer mentioned he also attended South Dakota, Penn and Yale elite camps, and says there are two schools in particular he feels may be next to extend a scholarship package.
“I think Sioux Falls could be the next to offer. And then maybe Yale, they said they’re looking to bring in a couple bigger guards, and that’s right in my area.”
Because of the importance he places on academics, Kramer is intrigued by Yale and other eastern schools.
“I think academics are more important to me than basketball is right now. There’s a lot of D3 schools out east whose academics are said to be just as good as the Ivy Leagues’,” said Kramer. “So I’m trying to figure out what I want in terms of D2 in the Midwest, or maybe having a chance to go out east and maybe play D3 and possibly Ivy League.”
