And with five NSIC offers in his pocket, the question isn’t if he will end up in that league, it’s where.
St. Cloud State, Bemidji State, Northern State, Sioux Falls, MSU-Moorhead have all extended scholarships to Gavin.
“I have visited Moorhead, Bemidji, and St. Cloud and plan on visiting Sioux Falls and maybe Northern State on Wednesday,” Baumgartner told NHR. “I’m trying to sort out which ones I like best and trying to find the best fit.”
He’s not too sure what to look for, since he’s just starting to narrow down schools.
“I’m just trying to see which school feels the best. Best coaches, campus, atmosphere. The normal stuff! It’s tough, but I hope I make the best decision.”
Austin Slater, Gavin’s good friend and former Wayzata teammate, will attend Sioux Falls this fall, and you have to wonder if that will help sway his decision to some degree. His former point guard, Johnny Beeninga, is headed to Moorhead, another school that has offered Gavin.
