The Comets DLR club went 28-17 on the year and played in a ton of big games.
“When we won the tournament in Sioux Falls and got to play on the Sanford Center main court, those were some of the best memories from the seasons,” said Schrom.
“Also, traveling across the country for other awesome tournaments was great too. Playing against better, more athletic opponents was definitely a change up from normal school ball. It will make better me for the upcoming high school season.”
Grand Rapids has the chance to have a great 2016-17 season but right now basketball isn’t something he’s really thinking about. The 6-foot-8 power forward/center is more focused on his fall sport.
“Right now I’m focusing on football, which will help prepare me physically for the basketball season,” Brock said.
Schrom has the size and agility to definitely play college basketball though and teams at the UMAC, NAIA, and NSIC levels are calling.
“I’ve heard from Bemidji State, Minnesota-Duluth, St. Scholastica, Minnesota State-Moorhead, and Briar Cliff,” said Schrom.
“I’m going to UMD for a football game and I would like to visit Bemidji State,” Brock said.
