I can also distribute the ball really well and that’s really underrated in my game.”
Last seasson at Keenan High School, Simmons was an all-state selection as he averaged around 18 points per game to go along with 3 assists per outing and a runner-up finish at the SCHSL Upper State finals. As a sophomore, he led Keenan HS in scoring at 18.6 points per outing and led Kennan to the SCHSL 2-A state championship.
At Quality Education Academy he will play for longtime head coach Isaac Pitts, who has produced numerous college and a few NBA players. Quality Education plays a national schedule. He will join nicely with 6-foot-8 Andre Toure, 6-foot-5 Renathan Embo, 6-foot-6 Tremaine Lawrence in the frontcourt and 6-foot-2 shooting guard Jaylan McGill and Simmons will share the backcourt. Simmons said this about his goals for next season, “My goals for the next school season is to win a championship of course and to get some other prayers on my team some offers.” He is a pass first guard but can also fill it up when he needs to.
