SG Che Evans Jr. (Dulaney ’20): Che Evans Jr. showed his significant upside throughout the day. The 6-foot-6 guard has very good vision and can handle the ball. Evans is a capable jump shooter, but can get to the rim almost at will. Defensively, he exhibited solid rim-protection ability to go along with exquisite timing.
PG Anthony Harris Jr. (Paul VI ’19): The dynamic, exciting skill set of Anthony Harris was on display for all to see on day 1. Harris was extremely difficult to contain off the bounce. He showed craftiness around the rim, and the ability to pull up on a dime and hit from three point distance.
PG Xavier Joyner Jr. (Paul VI ’19): Xavier Joyner Jr. made a notable two-way impact for his team on day 1. The lanky guard was very active and alert defensively. Joyner also got hot from long range and connected on several jumpers from the catch.
SF Mekhi Long (St. Mary’s Ryken ’19): Long-limbed, hard working wing Mekhi Long did a bit of everything for his team on day 1. The active, high energy forward showed a bit of ball handling ability along with a high work rate on the boards.
SF Christopher Warner (Wakefield ’19): 6-foot-4 freshman wing Christopher Warner impressed with his ability to make shots from the perimeter today. The long, mobile wing moves well without the ball, and can finish with either hand in traffic under the basket.
