Lefty Moore — All Iowa Attack Program Director
Jappanah Kellogg, 6’4 PF, Ames (2019)
“He really grew up a lot this summer. He’s finally starting to put some things together, he’s a high-jumper and so he’s starting to put some athleticsm together with his basketball IQ.And he’s really starting to figure some things out. He’s probably 6’5 right now, and both of his sisters were 6’6; his dad is 6’6 and his mom is 6’1 so he’s going to probably be 6’7 or 6’8 pretty easily. And in all honestly he may have the most upside out of anyone in that group (Attack 15U Red) right now. He’s not the best player in that group right now, but his upside, and just how much he improved over the last seven or eight months is really, really unbelievable.”
Evan Gauger, 6′ G, Indianola (2019)
“He’s been a really good player for a long time. For a long time he’s been a lot better than other kids his age, and then I think last year some kids started to catch up to him a little bit, and then he just went and worked harder, and just kept getting better. He’s still kind of frail a little bit, but he’s probably close to 6’1 now and he might end up 6’2 or 6’2. He obviously can shoot it well, and he can get to the rim and do some stuff. He’s good, just another good one in that 15U group that I like a lot.”
Thomas Faber, 6’2 PG, Dowling (2019)
“Thomas is probably the best kid, right now, on that 15U team, He can shoot the heck out of it, he’s got a big strong body, he can get to the rim, he can handle the ball. When he wants to he can guard you. And he has a sister who is playing at Creighton, and his dad is 6’10, and his mom is 6′, so I still think he hasn’t quite hit his growth spurt yet that he’s going to hit. And I absolutely love Thomas, he’s a really good player.”
Conner Hill, 5’8 G, South Hamilton (2019)
“And this is so offense to his high school, but he struggled a little bit because he went from playing high school ball at a small school like South Hamilton to playing on the AAU circuit. And we play in really good tournaments against really good teams. And so it took him a couple tournaments to catch back up to that speed of the game. And then, by the end of the summer he was really, really solid. He takes care if the basketball, makes open shots, and towards the end of the summer he was actually getting to the rim. He was getting into the lane and hit floaters. And when you look at his size, he can really guard you, he can get up under you and move his feet. And he’s smart, just really smart. He’s just another good kid to be around.”
