Kaleb has been putting up impressive scoring numbers the past few years in high school but especially recently this past season with Neuse Christian & playing with Team Loaded during the summer time. He has a smooth game and knows how to score in various ways, however the times we saw him he lit it up from outside knocking down the perimeter shots. Just to give you an idea of what type of numbers he put up this past season : 32 Points vs Trinity Christian, 42 Points vs Greenfield, 33 Points vs Northwood Temple just to name a few. He’s also equipped with a nice wingspan and outstanding athleticism that he uses to score when he gets to the cup as well as getting deflections and steals on the defensive end, with these tools we expect him to be a very solid defender at the next level.
Recruitment
As we know at the next level, players that can knock down shots are in high demand so it’s no surprise that quite a few coaches were interested and offered. Charlotte, ODU, VCU, Murray State, James Madison, Arizona State, Middle Tenn. State and many more offered Kaleb ,with him cutting his list down to: Hofstra, Middle Tennessee, UNCG, and Arizona State this past week. Whatever schools ends up getting this young man is getting a gifted scorer and a player who we feel still has a lot of potential left in him to develop into something special before it’s all said and done.
Quote from Coach Scottie Richardson of Neuse Christian: ‘‘Kaleb is a pure athlete that leads our team on and off the court, His ability to score mixed with his decision making from the point makes our team go. Kaleb fits our fast break system perfectly but his defense has improved and that makes him a more well-rounded prospect for the next level.’’
