And though his recruitment is still in its early stages, there are teams — Division I through NAIA — that have started to reach out the the 6-foot prospect.
“I attended the Drake elite camp this year and that was the only one I was able to attend. I was invited to the Dordt and Briar Cliff camp, but I wasn’t able to attend. And then Wayne State and Western Illinois have been sending some letters,” said Mohr, who mentioned what he’s been working to improve this offseason.
“I’ve been working on my strength, and my shooting and my ball-handling. Those were my goals to work on and improve this offseason.”
After averaging 17.8 points per game and connecting on 40 percent of his 3s last season with Glenwood, he’s been playing with Omaha Elite’s 16U National squad this spring and summer.
“Our spring went well. We went 17-1 I think, and my role has basically been to shoot the ball,” said Mohr who mentioned what his goals are for his junior season with the Rams.
“I’d like to improve all-around, and mainly just improve my percentages and create more.”
This weekend Mohr and Omaha Elite will be playing in Lawrence, KS at the Hardwood Classic. He says his recruitment will be a main concern for him.
“It’s (recruitment) a big deal, and that’s kind of what I’m going for,” said Mohr. “I just hope to get noticed and get talked about, and hope to see some bigger names start recruiting me”
