Austin Ash, 6’2, G, Barnstormers (Mount Vernon): Ash makes shots and plays hard. It’s not a flashy formula, but it’s an effective one, especially for a player without overwhelming physical attributes. His shooting ability makes defenses stretch well beyond the arc.
Kelvin Miller, 6’0, G, Iowa Barnstormers (Davenport Central): High motor doesn’t do Miller justice as he’s a high-energy player. He’s a good athlete and a skilled player finishing around the basket.
Trey Buchanan, 6’0, G, Kingdom Hoops (United Township, IL): Buchanan is a fearless guard who didn’t shrink from the moment or bigger, longer players. His defense helped sparked an impressive Kingdom comeback late.
Joe Wieskamp, 6’6, G/F, Barnstormers (Muscatine): Iowa’s scoring machine, Wieskamp is such an impressive offensive weapon. Very little he doesn’t do extremely well on that side of the floor.
Douglas Wilson, 6’6, G/F, Kingdom Hoops (Des Moines Hoover): His steal and dunk with 15 seconds left tied the game for Kingdom on their way to an overtime victory. His dfense was superb, using his length to block shots from the weakside.
