Roste and the Minnesota Comets are 16-5 on the season and this is after winning 19 games with the Cardinals over the winter. The Comets are near the top of the standings in both the SPTS and the Ny2La basketball leagues.
“Spring has gone far so well,” Jaran told NHR. “I love playing with the Comets and we have had a pretty successful season so far, so I’m pretty happy with our start.”
Roste has been seen playing the roles of lead guard with Alexandria, he’s played the role of a tough guy wing banging around the paint when needed, and we’ve seen him as both the leading scorer on the wing and playing the role of role player on the wing.
Jaran has done some of everything and continues to work at getting better at just about everything.
“I hope to improve on my shooting and overall defense,” Roste told NHR. “So far this basketball season, my ball handling and shooting has improved, but there is always room to get better.
“For the rest of the season, I want our team to win the NHR State Tournament, as well as win the Ny2LA league and the Sanford Pentagon league.”
Lofty goals but also attainable goals.
Roste has definitely bulked up which is obvious. Many would say “he looks like a football prospect” and for those that say that, they would be right.
“For basketball, I’ve been hearing from a few NSIC schools,” Roste told NHR.
“I’m set on playing football in college, and will be taking visits to Minnesota, Northern Iowa, NDSU, SDSU, and Wyoming this summer. I’m looking for a school with good academics and a solid business program, as I am looking to go into business administration.”
So there you have it. We have this summer and next winter of watching Roste battle on the court because he will eventually be taking that battle to the gridiron.
