“We have a fun, smart coach (Indeer Singh) who makes practices competitive, yet keeps basketball fun. My teammates are great guys. We all work together and can stick with some of the top teams in the state,” Streit said of Crossfire.
At 6-foot-4 with a solid build, Jacob also plays football for Eden Valley-Watkins as a WR/TE. He’s receiving some college recruitment in both sports.
“More colleges have been talking to me for football,” Streit said. “From MIAC conference teams to NAIA teams and a couple NSICs just inviting me to camps and asking for Hudl film. I got a couple basketball letters from University of Chicago, Northland. I heard St. John’s is looking at me along with UW-River Falls and Mayville State.”
Jared has already toured SW MN State and MSU-Moorhead, and he’d like to visit UM-Duluth soon as well.
“I want to find a good program that I like,” Streit said. “I would like to go to a college with a nice campus and good food.”
Coach Singh had a bit of praise for Streit.
“He’s got a great motor on the offensive glass, and he’s a tough mismatch on the perimeter when teams guard him with a big,” Singh said. He added that Streit’s family goes through 15 gallons of milk a week. I guess you won’t have to worry about a calcium deficit with this kid.
