For Cal, joining D1 MN was a decision that he’s glad he made.
“It’s the best team I’ve ever played with,” Wishart told NHR. “Our combination of guards and forwards are just too much for teams to handle. We get along not just on the court but off the court as well, our whole team loves each other like we’re brothers.”
Wishart burst onto the varsity scene as he led Delano with 18.4 PPG this year, leading the Tigers to a 20-6 record and an appearance in the section title game.
2018 recruits can start getting phone calls tonight at midnight from college teams. It wouldn’t be a shock for Cal’s phone to ring a few times.
“So far, UNI, Minnesota and Michigan have contacted coach Deon about me, and also most of the Dakota schools like SDSU, NDSU and UND,” Wishart said. “I’ve just got letters from as well as Brown College in Rhode Island.”
