“Shawnee State just offered, and I had a couple visits with Walsh and Shawnee State in the spring. And I actually reached out and I talked to Akron and Kent State,” said Nasseri who said Ashland has also shown some heavy interest.
“I think Ashland and Walsh are the next that may offer, they show the most actual interest. I hear a lot from the Ashland assistant coach, we text a lot. And then I had a visit to Walsh and I liked that a lot.”
He added: “I’m not too sure on when I want to make a decision, but it’s all going to depend on how well I fit into the program, academics, just stuff like that.”
The 6-foot-6 power forward has been working to improve his body and agility over the past six months, and has also been shaping into more of a versatile forward.
“I’m starting to slim down a lot, right now I’m about 240 and I’m more lean. I’m starting to step-out a lot more; last year I was more of just a post player, but I’m starting to shoot the 3 a lot more, and the mid-range. And I’m trying to work on my handle a lot more right too.”
After playing for a couple different grassroots programs in the past year, he’s landed with VCC Nova, and says it’s a great fit for him.
“First I was playing with King James Ohio varsity, and I decided to leave and play with VCC Nova. I fit in well with everyone on the team, and we play well together. We’re excited for the summer, and hopefully we have a good July,” said Nasseri.
“I’m just going to play as hard as I can every game, and hopefully just rack up some more offers.”
