College coaches that are looking for a stretch Power Forward type of player will definitely want to mark this young man’s name down as soon as possible. Milos Supica just completed his first season of school and basketball here in North Carolina this past season, although he has only been here for a short amount of time his improvement has been very impressive. Initially when he arrived he seemed to be somewhat uncomfortable and still learning the game, you could see he was a little uneasy with the speed and couldn’t get going early on in the season. However once he adjusted and started to become comfortable in his role, he truly began to flourish and put together some impressive performances to finish the season.
What makes him special?
Although we would classify Milos as a stretch forward player, he has the ability to play inside facing up and with his back to the basket. Early on in the season he didn’t have the muscular frame like some of the players that he was playing against but he has added to his frame over the last few months which allows him to play stronger inside. What really makes him dangerous is his ability to shoot the ball well from midrange and from the perimeter, he is the type of player that would be ideal in pick and roll situation because he can dive to the basket or pick and pop. Milos has also improved defensively with his on the ball defense and rebounding skills, he’s added more athleticism as of late and understands proper positioning when it comes to rebounds. Once you add in his high motor that he plays with, then he is without a doubt a Division one caliber player and a steal for Division two programs. Don’t be surprised to see Milos putting together some big time performances in July and finishing his final season of high school basketball playing at a high level
Freedom Assistant Coach Mike Joiner – ‘‘He’s a great kid with a great attitude and is a pleasure to work with on and off the court, he has shown a lot of improvement on and off the court since he has arrived. He’s progressed greatly over this summer especially during Team camp where he really showed a leap in his game, he has great upside and is a versatile player.”
