Playing on the Nike EYBL summer circuit with Team CP3, Hueitt is shooting 47.5% from 3-point land and has made 56 shots from behind the arc. He is averaging 14.9 points and over 2 rebounds per game through the first four stops on the EYBL circuit. “It’s going great, we are one of the top teams in the EYBL for sure and it’s just fun especially the way we have been playing. I don’t see us not winning Peach Jam.”
The 6-foot-three, 155lb shooting guard has the ability to knock down shots from anywhere on the floor with consistency and many college programs have noticed what Michael already knows. ” I am just trying to improve my all-around game and to continue to show everyone that I am one of the best guards in the country.” Hueitt had a game-high 29 points on eight 3-pointers earlier this spring against the Georgia Stars.
He holds offers from Buffalo, Murray State, Rice, Hampton, Missouri, Yale, Old Dominion, James Madison, Western Carolina University, UNC-Greensboro, Middle Tennessee State and Boston University. High interest from East Carolina, Wake Forest, Virginia, Florida State, Kansas State and Auburn “The University of Georgia has been stepping up a lot lately, but Yale, Middle Tennessee, Clemson, Rutgers and Old Dominion, are all about even. We talk about 3-4 times a well minimum, I think after Peach Jam, I will have a better idea about visits I want to take and probably plan some for August.”
Playing last year with High Point Christian Academy Hueitt was teamed up with Edrice Adebayo (Kentucky signee) and Ty Graves (Boston College signee). High Point Christian advanced all the way to the NCISAA 3-A state championship before falling to Providence Day. Hueitt was named tournament MVP of the prestigious High School OT tournament over Christmas. Since then, Coach Brandon Clifford has resigned and where Hueitt will play next season is up in the air. “I don’t know, I haven’t really been in touch with them this summer, a lot of stuff is going on there and I am just weighing my options about school.”
