As it is now, the 5-foot-11 guard is a bit under-the-radar, and though it’s his dream to play in college, it seems his interest is lacking because of the lack of interest in him.
“Right now I’m really not even sure about that stuff. I’ve received a few letters but I don’t really remember them,” said Randolph. “I’m concerned with it, but I really haven’t thought about it too much. It’s a dream to play basketball in college though, that’s something I hope happens,” said Randolph.
“I’ll probably focus more on that this summer, it’d be good to go to college and play for free.”
Randolph improved greatly after his sophomore season with the Blue Devils, when he averaged 9.4 points per game. But he says improving his shooting percentage is something he’d like to see next season.
“I think I’m better at executing and driving to the basket and just making plays. And something I really want to improve is my defense. And really getting better shots and making more plays and better plays, stuff like that,” said Randolph.
“I was happy with how I played this season, but I think I can always get better and I could have done better and improved more. I really want to improve my shooting percentage. It wasn’t very good this year, and I need to improve that for next year.”
Randolph, who played at times with the Iowa Barnstormers last summer, will be spending his spring and summer playing with Iowa Mavericks Purple.
“They just need me to distribute the ball, drive-and-kick, move it around and just get open shots for guys,” said Randolph. “I’m just looking to get better all-around really.”
