And it would appear those Division I programs that sought him out after his sensational freshman season on the hardwood, are still hot on his trail.
“I definitely feel a lot better, the beginning of high school season was a little rough, but the second part, and now, I feel a lot better. I can get to the rim a lot more, so I feel like I can show off my versatility a lot more than when I was hurt before,” said the 6-foot-4 wing, who listed some programs he’s still in contact with.
“I’ve talked to coaches from South Dakota, Nebraska-Omaha, Drake, and then I’ve also talked to Northwest Missouri State a little. We’ll see how the summer plays out, and may the chips fall where they may.”
Hill added: “It’s been both phone calls and text messages, just talking to coaches and they’re telling me they will be coming to my games.”
With his 17U summer being so important for recruitment, Hill is certainly cognizant of the impact each weekend could have on his recruitment. But he’s mostly concerned with simply playing hard, and playing his game.
“Definitely I want to get recruited, but at the same time you can’t think about it too much – you still got to go out there and play,” said Hill. “My goal is to go out there and play hard, and whatever coaches come and watch and want me to play for them, that’s awesome. But I’m just going to go out there and play.”
