He was not eligible to play this year, and after being burned with a football transfer this fall that resulted in some forfeits, Central doesn’t want to take another risk, he said.
Otherwise, the year is going well for Jalan, and he’s on pace to graduate.
“Central is going well for me,” Jalan said. “I’m still looking at jucos. Trinidad State junior college is coming up here next month to visit. I’ve been in contact with Sheridan, Rochester Community College, Kirkwood and a few more jucos.”
Jalan adds that list of interest to his offer from Lake Region State. He plans on playing another spring/summer with Grassroots, with the goal of “getting more exposure to top-level junior college programs.”
As a 6-foot-3 wing with nasty bounce, Jalan will no doubt drum up more interest this spring.
