For Connor Custenborder the process is scooting along, with excellent research and emotional investment from him.
Custenborder has a profile on a couple of websites like BeRecruited.com and hudl.com. His most productive profile is elsewhere though.
“I am on NCSA and the University of Tampa follows me on that and I exchange emails with their coaches,” said Connor Custenborder.
University of Tampa is DII. They recruit all over the country, but currently have two guards from the Midwest in the fold. Pat Bacon (Indiana) and Darien McClain (Illinois) figure in the rotation. As a freshman, Bacon starts. So there is precedent for a Midwest man playing for University of Tampa basketball.
“Hope (College) asked me to come to their campus over the summer and Carlow invited me to attend one of their games, which I did about a month ago.”
Carlow is NAIA Division II and Hope is DIII. Hope boasts a magnificent campus nestled into southwest Michigan. A coach from Oakland University has also evaluated Connor Custenborder, by way of watching high school teammate Justin Ahrens. For many athletes opportunities to impress multiply when playing with other college-bound peers.
