The Frederick County powerhouse scored another impressive victory Tuesday night. With the sectionals (formerly the regionals) coming up next week, Linganore rolled to an easy 72-44 victory over visiting Frederick Tuesday night.
That win moved the Lancers to 18-1 on the season, and they’ll be standing in everyone’s way in the Class 3A West Region playoffs that start next week — weather permitting.
As per the Frederick News-Post, Jack Staub enjoyed his final home game. He finished with 15 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Thomas Lang (14), Carter Schmidt (12) and Keegan Lane (12) gave the Lancers plenty more offensive punch.
Overall, as per the News-Post, 11 players scored for the winners. Linganore jumped out to a big early lead thanks to a 14-point run and never looked back. Frederick simply could not keep up.
That balance will make Linganore tougher in the playoffs, something the Frederick County powerhouse’s opponents probably won’t be thrilled to see.
