Continue ReadingUpon arriving at Spire Academy in Geneva, OH within the past year, things have not been necessarily easy for Nigel Warden, a native of Canada. However, the 6’3″ shooting guard with a high motor is adapting well as of late, both on and off the court. After spending many years playing for a club team in Alberta, Warden made the move to the United States to improve his game and earn a college scholarship. Projected as a D1 recruit by ESPN, Warden has seen his share of success on the court thus far into the season; including a 26 point, 7 rebound, and 6 assists outing against Commonwealth Academy.
Asked if he was enjoying his time at Spire, Warden said, “I am, it’s a good school. I’m getting better everyday and lifting a lot.” When asked about his recruitment he wasn’t shy to admit, “This recruiting process isn’t easy (though), and I’m new to it all as well.” Expect to hear more and more about Warden in the coming months as he is poised and positioned for success.
