Moore says that the list of six mentioned above is somewhat of a final group.
“I’ve applied to all those schools and been in the most contact with those schools,” he said. “I just haven’t really said ‘no’ to any school yet, that’s all.”

As Hill-Murray senior Chris Davis played AAU out of state with Wisconsin Playmakers, us Minnesota hoopheads may have missed him this summer at the local tournaments. But he’s truly a very well-rounded prospect who deserves attention, and NHR is willing to shine that light on him today.
First of all, he’s a 6-6, 230-pound power forward. He’s physical and strong, and he actually received a partial offer from MSU-Moorhead to play football, so that answers any questions about him being soft.
Add in that he’s got a 3.9 GPA and an ACT score of 26, and he becomes a recruit who can get into nearly any school. He’s looking at physics or engineering.
“I have to feel comfortable at my college,” Moore said. “I look for friendly students and faculty and a coach that I can relate to. I also make sure that academics are a high priority among the students and coaches. I think having people who don’t care about academics as much can have a lingering effect on my academic performance.”
Chris went on a three-school tour in the middle of the month at Macalester, Luther and Gustavus; he has also been to Hamline, and he plans to get to UW-River Falls and UW-Platteville (the latter being a school known for its engineering program). He’s also gotten some interest from UW-Eau Claire and UW-La Crosse.
“As of now the two schools that stick out to me the most are Macalester and Gustavus, because those are two very prestigious academic schools,” Moore said. “I take my academics very seriously.”
And although it would mean a demanding schedule, Moore is considering playing both basketball and football in college.
“I’m not really looking into playing college football too much, because basketball is my passion, but I’m not pulling it off the table right now. One nice thing about Gustavus is that I have the opportunity to play both sports because both sports are recruiting me pretty hard.”
