Player of the Week: Quinton Curry
For three years now Quinton Curry’s career has continued to reach new heights.
And after obliterating an all-time record for most votes received in our Player of the Week poll, the West Des Moines Valley star — with 33,384 votes — is this week’s honoree.
The amount of traffic the @PrepHoopsIA Player of the Week poll has gotten is incredible. Closing in on 60,000 votes. https://t.co/PClqiRxDJ9

He was a starter on a state-qualifying team as a freshman two years ago, and last season he averaged 13.2 points and 7.4 rebounds as the youngest player on the team.
This season the 6-foot-6 thoroughbred is coming of a wildly successful grassroots season, and is starring as a forward on 4A’s top-ranked team.
Last week, everything came to a boil for the now wily veteran.
Social media was abuzz with his performance at Southeast Polk last Friday night, a game where he threw-down multiple dunks – which no doubt contributed to an insane 11-12 shooting from the floor.

Prior to his 22 point, 12 rebound performance in that win over the Rams, he poured in 21 points on 10-12 shooting against Marshalltown – that game on Tuesday night.

Already with interest from high-major Division I schools — and Ivy League schools — the talented small forward gets it done not only on the court, but in the classroom as well.
Curry will play on a supremely talented Kingdom Hoops Elite squad this spring and summer, and look for him be one of a few key names that will emerge from the offseason with a list of Division I offers.
