Player Of The Week: Jan. 18–24
Calvin Wishart, Delano sophomore — In a big win over state-ranked Orono on Friday, Cal scored a career-high 37 points to lead Delano to a 81-67 victory over a team that is in their conference and section. The youngster is averaging 18.3 PPG this year.
Noah Gindorff, Crosby-Ironton junior — The 6-foot-6 forward has C-I at 14-3 on the year, and last week he dropped 27 points against International Falls and 25 against Aitkin. He is 0.2 RPG away from averaging a double-double this season.
Jameson Meyer, Chaska senior — Down 10 at half, Chaska surged in the second period with help from Meyer, who hit four threes after the break. He totaled 16 points and had 14 the next day, taking down state-ranked Orono.
Jeremiah Coddon, Woodbury junior — Coddon had 27 against Cretin-Derham Hall and 28 against East Ridge. According to one witness, he “killed it” last week for 14-2 Woodbury.
Nate Reuvers, Lakeville North junior — In a rivalry game vs. Lakeville South, Reuvers logged 28 points (on 12-16 from field) and 11 rebounds in a dominant effort. He also had 29 points earlier in the week vs. Prior Lake. North was 3-0 last week.
Taylor Triplett, Shakopee senior — The Crown College-bound senior for the Sabers nearly had a triple-double in a win against Eastview, totaling 20 pts, 9 reb and 8 assists. He also had 16 pts and 6 reb in a win against Rosemount.
Brady Gullicks, Hastings senior — 6-foot-4 Gullicks had a big week statistically. He scored 23 pts in a win against Hill-Murray, 34 pts in a win against Henry Sibley and 31 pts in a loss to Lakeville North.
