3 Trey Thomas, 57.7% (15-26)
The 5-foot-8 junior is shooting 61 percent from the floor and 91 percent from the free-throw line – an amazing shooting line from the Ottumwa guard.
4 Trystan Cummins, 57.1% (16-28)
It helps when you go 8-8 from beyond the arc during a single game, that’s just what the 6-foot-4 senior did on Dec. 21 in a win over Urbandale.
5 Colin Squiers, 55.9% (19-34)
Squiers has been one of the more productive guards in the state since moving to Iowa from Minnesota after his freshman season – the 5-foot-10 senior is saving the best for now.
6 Joe Tower, 55.6% (15-27)

7 Tyus Arends, 55.2% (21-38)
Another sophomore – the third on this list – teams may want to identify the young sharpshooter as a threat. He’s connecting on three 3s a game, and averaging 20 points per contest
8 Connor Murrell, 53.5% (23-43)
One of the fastest rising stars in the state, Murrell burst onto the scene last season, scoring in bunches and connecting on 50 percent of his outside attempts. He’s the leading scorer in 4A so far this season.
9 Marquise Bolden, 53.3% (16-30)
The 6-foot-2 Sioux City West junior is blossoming into one of 4A’s stock-risers. He’s averaging 16.5 points per game in addition to his precise outside shooting.
10 Noah Pettepier, 53.2% (25-47)
Pettepier is connecting on 3.1 3s per game, that’s 9.4 points per game of his 13.8 points per average – you can not let the 5-foot-10 junior shoot it, he’ll burn you.
