Jordan Harris
6’1 – PG – 2017
Harris didn’t have a great game today. He didn’t get to take many shots, got in foul trouble early, and in turn was low on his point total. He struggled a bit against the zone that Warren Central was throwing up and didn’t get a lot of clean looks. He’s got a solid body and looks the part of a prospect on the rise. About 6’1 and some length. Has to be more active on the defensive end to bring more value. Handles the ball well and can be a decent point guard option at the next level who brings the most value as a volume scorer. – 6 points
Justin Joiner
6’4 – SF – 2016
Joiner had a solid game as a transition scorer. He did this by being tough on the perimeter driving to the rack. He’s got decent size and can out-tough guys at the rim. Decent athlete that showed a bit of it in a pair of dunks. First look at him but didn’t get to see a jump shot, although his free throws looked solid and hit a good clip. Not much defensively from any of the Lighthouse guys in this one so hard to tell what he could bring to the game. – 11 points
Dontez Rayner
6’4 – SG – 2018
Rayner was the second best player for Lighthouse in this one. He’s a well built guard who was really strong at the rim. Warren had a tough time stopping him and when he wasn’t scoring he was shooting free throws. Pushes the ball a bit of his shot so he’ll have to clean that up. Great body, though, for a sophomore and could be a guy to watch if he develops more perimeter skills. Right now just a guy that gets to the rim, but does it really well. – 10 points
Warren Central:
Bishop Smith
510 – PG – 2016
Smith was really good early and helped to push Warren Central into the lead quickly. He’s a guy that leads a team so well that you almost don’t notice him when things are going well because he’s getting everyone else involved. He scored the ball well early using a nice dribble pullup at the three-point line and just inside of it. He is technically sound and efficient. He could score more often if need be but he hardly ever over plays his hand. – 11 points
Trequan Spivey
6’1 – SG -2016
Spivey has had a quiet year so far. Not as big of a scoring presence as he felt like last season. He has those looks in spurts but only really come in the first half when the game is still fairly open and he can get cleaner looks. As the game tightens up or is a blowout, he doesn’t make too many plays. Spivey can bring a lot of offense to a game but hasn’t been himself yet this season. Talented scorer that can fit a role for a lot of team.- 10 points
Mack Smith
6’1 – SG – 2017
Smith is having a good year so far but really looking for him to take that next step. He is playing off of his defense which looks really good right now as he creating pressure on the perimeter and turnovers. He can quickly get into transition and is strong and athletic enough that even if someone catches him he is still finishing at a high rate. He’s bound to have a big game sooner rather than later and take a big step forward. – 11 points
David Bell
6’2 – SG – 2019
Bell might have had the best of the three games I’ve seen of him this year. He was solid shooting the ball when he took those chances but his rebounding looked more improved. He’s got really good hands, obviously because he is a wide receiver for their varsity team. They used him more as a high post guy and Bell seemed to be comfortable there as he could pass out of it and then run in for boards. Nice game from the talented athlete. – 7 points
