However, our staff was also able to make the trip up to the Pacers Athletic Center to catch a few Indiana teams playing in the Adidas May Classic. Let’s quickly take a look at some of the prospects that had eye-catching performances during our time at this event.
Coming off of an excellent high school season at Evansville Memorial that saw this 6’0″ point guard average 14.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, a key for Ellspermann this spring and summer was going to be proving himself as an outside shooting threat. He certainly checked that box on Saturday at the Adidas May Classic knocking in several three-point shots for Kyle Guy Elite in a win over Progeny Blue. Came away really impressed with how he shot the basketball.
Hunter is a pure point guard that really showcased his ability to run an offense at the Adidas May Classic. The 6’2″ Silver Creek product will head down with Indiana Elite 3SSB this weekend for the live period in Bryan, Texas. He is a great ball handler that isn’t sped up against pressure, displays high-level vision and awareness, and can score it himself as well. One of the better point guard prospects in Indiana’s Class of 2027.

I tweeted about Johnson on Saturday morning as he stood out for IE F.E.E.D. 2025 showcasing his athleticism, length, and ability to penetrate the defense consistently. The Park Tudor High School product is an effective slasher and driver, active cutter off of the ball, and very productive in transition. Like his upside as a two-way wing with his mixture of athletic tools.
Admittedly, I don’t know if I had seen this Goshen High School product play in person prior to Saturday at the Adidas May Classic. However, Sawatzky confirmed everything I had seen on film and heard about his game with the way he shot the ball for Kyle Guy Elite Black 2026. The 6’2″ guard made a couple of deep pull-up three-point shots off of the dribble and constantly puts pressure on the defense with his shooting ability. Averaged a team-leading 14.8 points per game as a sophomore at Goshen while making 51 three-point shots at a 38% clip.
It was the second straight weekend that I came away impressed with this Truesdale twin’s performance. Drelyn has obvious athletic gifts with true explosiveness off of the bounce both vertically and getting down hill to the rim. That allows him to finish against size and puts a ton of pressure on the defense trying to keep him from getting into the paint. Then, on the defensive end, his length is a consistent disruption. Truesdale plays in the passing lanes and projects as a potential plus-defender.
It is easy to buy into the upside of Vogt when you see his physical tools. That is not to say he isn’t a very good player right now because he is, but at 6’5″ with impressive length you can really project what he can become years down the road. Vogt is a skilled perimeter threat, uses his length to finish against size around the basket when he attacks closeouts, and comes from a winning culture at Carmel High School. He is own to get to know this spring and summer with Kyle Guy Elite 2026.
